Wholesale market of the City of Karlsruhe
On the roof of the administration building there are large single letters made of green fluorescent tubes. The installation is currently (August 2023) out of service.
The installation has existed since the opening of the wholesale market in 1967; however, the manufacturer could no longer be determined. In 1989/1990 the installation was renewed.
Further research revealed that from 1968 to 2002 there was a neon tube sign of the Sinner brewery (Sinner-Edelpils) and from 1976 of the Moninger brewery (Moninger Bier) on the roof of the administration building, but it has been dismantled in the meantime.
