Leipzig neon sign shines again

One of Leipzig’s best-known and largest neon signs is once again shining “Mein Leipzig lob ich mir – Willkommen in Leipzig”. During the GDR era, the device was located on the roof of one of the buildings on Leipzig’s Brühl – directly opposite the main train station. In recent years, the Brühl has been redesigned and, among other things, a shopping center has been built. The modernized device has now been rebuilt on its roof. Unfortunately, it shines without gas, but with energy-saving LED technology. But it shines again. And it has been since July 26, 2018.

The MDR reported on the recommissioning of the device. Unfortunately, the contribution is no longer available in the MDR media library.
