Virtual move

After the last months the response times of my virtual museum became longer and longer and working in the backend wasn’t really much fun anymore, I got to the reason. Measurements of the site’s performance confirmed that it was simply slow to respond – too slow. However, optimizations did not bring any improvement. So I did some research in the big virtual world and found evidence that other websites hosted by Strato (my previous provider) were also having such problems. So what to do? The only solution seemed to be moving the complete site to a better hosting provider. I found this one quite quickly; with netcup GmbH, it’s even a company from Karlsruhe, the home of the Neon Museum. Here, I first put all the functions through their paces with a copy of my website. The result pleased me and the performance exceeded my expectations. Yesterday the Neonmuseum finally moved into its new home. Here’s to being a good neighbor!
